I’m glad you asked.

It’s a name which conveys something of who we are.

sojourn /ˈsoʊ dʒɜrn
origin: Middle English sojurnen , from Old French sojourner “to rest, stay”
verb 1. to dwell for a time in a place; live temporarily.
noun 2. a temporary stay.

We love this city and are blessed to live in it. We want to bless it and to see it thrive. We enjoy life here and experience pain here. Yet, we know that in the end we will leave. We will go to a better city—the heavenly one which Jesus has gone to prepare.

We’re a community of people who trust Jesus’ word to us in the Bible. We trust him that there is more than this life and that he will bring us home. Whether you trust him too or are at some other point in your journey, come as you are.
