These talks were part of our vision day. We took the opportunity to revisit Hebrews as we thought together about our present and our future while we wait for the glorious return of the Lord Jesus.

Introduction

Grateful, acceptable, pleasing worship (13:8-16; cf. 12:28-29)
   The sacrifice offered once for us… (13:8-14)

   …enables and motivates the sacrifices we offer (13:15-16)

Recognise the great significance of:
brotherly love, generous hospitality, sympathetic solidarity, pure sex, contented confidence, imitation of and submission to leaders, prayerful partnership, conscious dependence

the law: “it can never” “it is impossible” (10:1-4)

the Christ: “once for all” “has perfected”(10:5-14)
